Candidate for General Chairperson of the Central Board of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (BPP HIPMI), Anthony Leong, asserted that the government's ambition to achieve an economic growth rate of 8 percent will not be realized without a solid foundation of political stability. During the inaugural candidates' debate in Jambi, he highlighted that regulatory certainty and close synergy between the government and the business sector are non-negotiable, crucial elements.

Anthony argued that the economic growth figure is not merely an ambitious macro target, but the result of a healthy ecosystem. According to him, investors tend to take a wait-and-see attitude in uncertain political conditions. Conversely, a stable political climate will trigger investment inflows, spur industrial growth, and ultimately expand job creation for the public.

In his presentation, Anthony expressed high appreciation for President Prabowo Subianto and Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Sufmi Dasco Ahmad. He referred to both as unifying figures for the nation ("bridge of the nation") capable of maintaining national political balance amid the dynamics of the government transition and increasingly complex global challenges. The inclusive leadership they demonstrate is considered a fundamental asset for Indonesia to achieve its national development agenda.

Furthermore, Anthony emphasized that HIPMI must transform into a more impactful strategic partner for the government in the future. This organization of young entrepreneurs must not solely focus on internal networking, but must also be able to foster innovation, strengthen MSMEs, and carry out technology-based industrialization relevant to global needs.

Carrying the vision "Moving Forward Together, Realizing Real Impact", Anthony is committed to making HIPMI a platform for regional young entrepreneurs to actively contribute solutions to the nation's economic challenges. He believes that through a collaborative approach, young entrepreneurs can play a vital role in supporting the government to create a more competitive Indonesia on the world stage.
