Although AI offers advancements in content production and operational efficiency, this technology also creates new cybersecurity attack vectors that are far more complex than previous conventional threats.
Cybersecurity experts warn that AI has now become a double-edged sword. On one hand, AI can detect anomalies rapidly; on the other hand, hackers exploit this technology to simulate market patterns, infiltrate internal corporate systems, and create malicious content. Therefore, AI model training data and its supporting infrastructure must be viewed as strategic assets with high vulnerability risks.
A real risk is evident in the manipulation of the online ticketing market. Unscrupulous parties are now using AI-based bots to corner tickets through dynamic pricing, ultimately fueling black market practices and harming both consumers and event organizers. Additionally, studio collaborations with third parties in AI-driven production processes increase supply chain risks, where hackers can exploit partner software to steal intellectual property.
On the distribution front, content delivery networks (CDNs) are now primary targets for AI attacks. Hackers are able to map critical infrastructure points to exfiltrate film or game data on a large scale. Similar challenges emerge in the gaming industry, where AI is misused to inject copyright-infringing content and poses risks of personal data leaks during model training.
In response to this trend, entertainment industry players are urged to immediately tighten security standards and establish dedicated AI oversight departments. This step is essential not only to maintain legal compliance regarding copyright, but also as a proactive effort to build a digital ecosystem secure from manipulation and evolving cyber threats.
