Expenditure costs for the healthcare sector in Banyuwangi Regency recorded an increasing trend in June 2026. Recent data shows that the rise in the cost of medicines and health products reached 0.49 percent, a figure higher than the record in May 2026 which was around 0.31 percent.
According to the report by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the consumer price index (CPI) for the health sector in the region rose to 113.37 in June 2026, up from 112.82 in the previous month. Overall, the health group was recorded to contribute 1.15 percent to the total regional inflation.
When viewed from the annual movement (year-on-year), healthcare costs in Banyuwangi have experienced an inflation of 1.09 percent compared to June 2025. Meanwhile, cumulatively since the beginning of the year (year-to-date), the increase in costs in this sector has reached 0.97 percent, making it the sub-category with the highest inflation rate compared to other sectors in the region.
On a national scale, Banyuwangi Regency's position in terms of health inflation ranks 35th among the 106 regencies/cities monitored by BPS. By comparison, the highest health inflation nationally was recorded at 0.24 percent, while the deepest decline was experienced by East Lampung Regency with a figure of 1.4 percent.
