Police officers from the North Kuta Police Sector in synergy with the Samapta Unit of the Badung Police conducted preventive measures to maintain public security and order (kamtibmas) in the popular tourist area of Canggu, Badung. This action focused on securing the area around Batu Bolong Beach in the early hours of Sunday (7/4/2026).
The operation, led by First Inspector (Iptu) I Gede Artawan, targeted congestion points as nightlife patrons began dispersing around 3:30 AM WITA. This step was taken as a concrete effort to prevent potential security disruptions, ranging from friction between visitors to traffic jams that often occur when nightlife operational hours end.
North Kuta Police Chief, Police Commissioner (Kompol) I Ketut Sukadana, emphasized that the presence of police personnel on the ground aims to ensure an orderly transition of nighttime activities. In addition to easing traffic congestion, officers also issued sympathetic appeals to drivers caught violating traffic rules, such as not wearing helmets or using non-standard exhausts.
Not only targeting traffic flow, officers also coordinated with the internal security of nightlife venues. This coordination was carried out to manage the outflow of patrons to prevent massive crowd build-ups that could disturb the comfort of local residents.
These proactive efforts received positive appreciation from local business operators and community members. The presence of authorities during vulnerable hours is considered crucial in providing a sense of security and maintaining the positive image of the Canggu tourist area as a conducive destination for both tourists and local residents.
