Dong Nai City successfully recorded an impressive performance in the agriculture and environment sector throughout the first semester of 2026. Through the implementation of the "Unity - Discipline - Efficiency - Breakthrough" campaign, the region achieved a growth rate of 4.86%, surpassing the national average. This achievement was driven by a strong commitment to reforming administrative procedures and integrating high technology into operational management.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Dang Ngoc Diep, stated that amid global economic pressure and international supply chain uncertainty, the government is conducting a comprehensive institutional restructuring. These strategic steps encompass the management of 17 crucial areas, ranging from the maritime sector and climate change to land management. Currently, administrative efficiency in Dong Nai has reached a success rate of 99.86% for application processing, thanks to the use of an integrated national population database.
In addition to digital transformation, Dong Nai also plays a vital role in supporting national strategic projects. Relevant departments have intensively coordinated the supply of construction materials, ensuring the smooth development of major infrastructure projects through 2030. Synergy between mineral resource providers and contractors is carried out transparently to overcome bureaucratic hurdles in the field.
Moving forward, the local government targets full digitalization for 100% of administrative procedures at the city level. Development focus is also directed toward the high-tech agricultural sector, as seen in the integrated cultivation and processing project in Thuan Loi commune, which involves an investment of around 30.5 trillion VND. This initiative is projected to become a key driver of the regional economy through a fully automated and data-driven value chain.
