Tech giant Microsoft has just announced a strategic move by allocating US$2.5 billion to establish a new business entity named Microsoft Frontier Company. This initiative is designed as a concrete effort to help various organizations accelerate the technology transition from the trial phase to artificial intelligence (AI) implementation that delivers tangible business impact.
In its operations, Microsoft will deploy 6,000 engineers and industry experts into the field to directly assist customer operations. This approach is expected to ensure effective AI integration while providing maximum protection for client companies' data and intellectual property.
The company stated it will remain open by supporting AI models from various providers, while forging strategic partnerships with global consultants such as Accenture and PwC. This move is seen as Microsoft's effort to solidify its position amidst fierce competition in the tech sector, where other major companies like Amazon also continue to ramp up their investment expansion.
This investment move coincides with global market optimism toward AI technology, with major worldwide companies projected to spend up to US$1 trillion by 2027. Nevertheless, observers emphasize that the market now holds high expectations for companies' ability to execute AI-based projects to deliver measurable results and optimal operational efficiency.
