In an effort to strengthen its position as a regional innovation hub, the Ho Chi Minh City Government, through the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR), launched a series of strategic initiatives. The program titled "Collaboration Day," held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC 2026) in Dalian, China, became the main stage for stakeholders, ranging from government to multinational corporations, to meet.
HCMC C4IR Director, Le Truong Duy, emphasized that this step is a breakthrough in the model of international public-private partnerships. The initiative is designed to mobilize technological, financial, and high-quality human resources to accelerate sustainable smart city development.
A number of crucial agreements were reached during the forum, including the development of a public electric bicycle system by HCMC C4IR and Sunwah Group. In addition, Sunwah Group, together with Exabyte Investment and Technology and Inspur Smart Technology, established a strategic cooperation to develop smart agriculture solutions, aquaculture, and product traceability systems based on the latest technology.
On the other hand, Exabyte Investment and Technology proposed an in-depth research collaboration with HCMC C4IR. The main focus of this partnership includes the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to improve urban management efficiency and optimize the agricultural supply chain. The company expressed its commitment to building digital infrastructure that supports socio-economic progress.
This series of activities was further strengthened by Nam A Commercial Bank joining the HCMC C4IR network. The integration of the banking, technology, and government sectors is expected to strengthen the digital innovation ecosystem, drive the green economy, and enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese businesses in the global market when facing the challenges of international integration.
