Nusa Mandiri University (UNM) has once again reaffirmed its position as a Digital Business Campus by holding the 2026 Digital Business Bootcamp. The intensive two-day event, running from July 8 to 9, 2026, at the Asyana Hotel Sentul, Bogor, was specifically designed to equip students with strategic skills in pioneering innovative startups amidst the rapid era of artificial intelligence (AI).
The event, themed "Creating Impactful Digital Startups: From Problem Solving to Value-Driven Solutions," was attended by 6th-semester students from the Information Systems, Informatics, and Data Science study programs. The main focus of this bootcamp was to shift the students' mindset from merely creating products to becoming problem solvers who are responsive to market needs.
Elan Suherlan, Director of PT Indostorage Solusi Teknologi, emphasized in his briefing session that the key to a startup's success lies in the sharpness of observing surrounding problems. According to him, the failure of many digital businesses is often caused by a mismatch between the proposed solution and the actual needs of users. He encouraged students to be more sensitive in conducting market research and validating business ideas before moving further.
In addition to deepening their mindset, participants gained comprehensive insights into future technology trends, such as AI-Native Products, the no-code economy, and the concept of commercial creators. Students were taught tactical steps to build a startup, ranging from problem identification to the development of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) as an effective product validation instrument.
The Head of the UNM Data Science Study Program, Tati Mardiana, stated that this initiative is a concrete effort by the campus to produce graduates who are not only technically proficient but also possess an adaptive entrepreneurial spirit. By combining technology and business aspects, UNM is optimistic about raising a generation of digital business founders capable of contributing positively to the future growth of Indonesia's digital economy.
