The Gunung Kaler Village Government, Gunung Kaler Sub-district, Tangerang Regency, reaffirmed its commitment to overcoming educational backwardness at the grassroots level. On Monday (6/7), the Head of Gunung Kaler Village, Cecep AS, presented Paket C senior high equivalency diplomas to 10 residents who completed the equivalency education program.
This initiative represents the utilization of the Fiscal Year 2023 Village Fund, specifically allocated to expand educational access for community members whose high school education was interrupted. The program was designed not as an incidental agenda, but as a sustainable strategic step to improve living standards and human resource competencies in the village.
Cecep AS revealed that the continuity of this program will be further enhanced in subsequent years. "After 10 residents received Paket C diplomas from the 2023 allocation, we continue our commitment in 2024 by facilitating 20 Paket B diplomas, followed by 20 Paket C diplomas in 2025. Full support from the local government, particularly the Regent of Tangerang, has been the main driver of this event's success," he explained.
Furthermore, Cecep expressed appreciation to various parties who contributed, including the Secretary of Gunung Kaler Sub-district, H. Subhan, and the Head of PKBM Darussalam, H. Santani, who accompanied the residents' educational process to completion. The presence of these stakeholders at the diploma presentation ceremony further strengthened the synergy between the village and sub-district governments.
Through this progressive step, the Gunung Kaler Village Government hopes that improving community education quality will open up broader job opportunities and boost the economic well-being of residents. This initiative proves that Village Funds can be effectively managed for the human development sector, directly impacting the future of village residents.
