Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM) has once again demonstrated its active role in community service by organizing appropriate technology training for chicken slaughterhouse operators in the Makassar region. This activity focused on introducing and applying chicken feather plucking machine technology integrated with smart control systems.

In this training, the expert team from UNM introduced the use of the ESP32 microcontroller as the machine's driving engine. The *Internet of Things* (IoT)-based technology is designed to automate the cleaning process, enabling chicken feather removal to be carried out faster, more hygienically, and in a more measurable manner compared to conventional methods that still heavily rely on manual labor.

In addition to providing technical training on tool operation and maintenance, participants were also equipped with an understanding of production efficiency. This initiative is expected to help small and medium business operators in the poultry sector increase productivity while maintaining product hygiene standards in the local market.

This collaborative step reflects UNM's commitment to implementing academic research results for direct application in the field. Through the digitization of the poultry slaughterhouse production line, it is hoped that the operational efficiency of business operators will increase significantly while supporting the modernization of the micro-scale food industry in South Sulawesi.
