MORAZEN Yogyakarta successfully held a fun run event titled Run For Fun 2026 on Sunday (5/7). Located in the West Parking Area of MORAZEN, this non-competitive event attracted around 300 participants from various regions, including Kulon Progo, Wates, Purworejo, Kebumen, and Wonosobo.
Taking a 5-kilometer route, runners were invited to enjoy the scenic natural beauty of Kulon Progo. Along the track, participants were treated to lush views of green rice fields and the majestic landscape of the Menoreh Hills. Support from local residents cheering along the route added to the warm and lively atmosphere.
The Deputy Regent of Kulon Progo, Ambar Purwoko, officially opened the event accompanied by the General Manager of MORAZEN Yogyakarta, David Priambowo. In his speech, Ambar expressed appreciation for this private sector collaboration. He emphasized that this regional-scale activity has a significant impact, both in fostering a healthy lifestyle in the community and driving the economy for local MSMEs.
As a tangible commitment to empowering the local economy, the organizers provided a special area for local MSMEs to showcase their flagship products. The excitement of the event continued with a Zumba session with instructor Cik Mei, musical entertainment, and the distribution of various attractive door prizes for participants.
General Manager of MORAZEN Yogyakarta, David Priambowo, stated that this event was designed as a manifestation of the hotel's support for strengthening the potential of sport tourism in Kulon Progo.
