The Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Gunung Mas Regency is paying serious attention to the operational discipline of service offices at the village, sub-district (kelurahan), and district (kecamatan) levels. A member of the DPRD from Electoral District III, Evandi Juang, emphasized that the availability of public services during working hours is a public right that must not be ignored for any reason.

As the spearhead of the bureaucracy, village and sub-district offices play a vital role in managing various basic needs of residents, ranging from population administration, land matters, to taxation. Evandi highlighted that it is still common to find offices closed or empty because all employees are attending activities outside the office. This practice is considered counterproductive and detrimental to residents who have traveled long distances.

"People should not be disappointed when they come to a government office only to find the door locked. Services must be ensured to continue running, because the quality of interaction between the government and citizens is the main foundation in building public trust," said Evandi.

To overcome this obstacle, the legislator suggested that each institution implement a picket system or a well-planned division of tasks. If all staff members must attend official agendas outside, the head of the institution is obligated to appoint personnel tasked with maintaining the smooth flow of services in the office. With good time management, official activities do not need to sacrifice the public's right to services.

Concluding his statement, Evandi expressed appreciation to the officials who have consistently carried out their responsibilities. He hopes that the standards of fast, friendly, and transparent service can be maintained, so that the government's presence is truly and tangibly felt by all levels of society in Gunung Mas Regency.
