The inauguration of the Regional Board of the Indonesian Traditional Archery Art Federation (FESPATI) for Lampung Province marks a crucial momentum for the development of culture-based sports in Bumi Ruwa Jurai. The Chairman of the FESPATI Lampung Regional Board, who also serves as the Regent of Pringsewu, Riyanto Pamungkas, emphasized that the art of traditional archery is not merely a contest of physical agility, but an effective instrument in building character, training concentration, and instilling the values of self-control and courage in the younger generation.

In his vision, Riyanto is determined to elevate Lampung's traditional archery sports to the national stage. His administration targets Lampung Province not only to participate in various competitions, but to transform into a development center and a benchmark for traditional sports achievements that grow alongside modern advancements.

To realize this major target, FESPATI Lampung is encouraging cross-sector synergy and collaboration involving the Regional Government, KORMI, educational institutions, and local communities. This traditional archery popularization program is designed to target schools, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), and residential areas at the village level so that positive values and cultural preservation can be experienced inclusively.

With full support from the Lampung Provincial Government and the FESPATI National Board, this inauguration momentum is expected to be the starting point of real dedication. This strategic step is believed to be capable of producing highly reputed traditional archery athletes while fostering a future generation with strong character who love their ancestral heritage.
