The Asahan Regency Government, through the Education Agency, has declared its commitment to fully support the mini soccer tournament titled the 2026 Asahan Kapolres Cup. This assurance was secured after the Head of the Asahan Education Agency, Musa Al Bakri, received an audience with the management of the Indonesian Mini Soccer Committee (KSMI) of Asahan Regency on Monday (20/7/2026).
This sports competition targeting students is planned to run for Elementary (SD), Junior High (SMP), and Senior High (SMA) school levels or equivalent throughout the Asahan Regency. The tournament is designed not just to find a winner, but as an educational platform to build character, instill teamwork values, and hone sportsmanship from an early age.
Musa Al Bakri appreciated KSMI's initiative and emphasized that physical activities like mini soccer are crucial for the development of the younger generation. He hopes this championship will stimulate an active lifestyle while scouting potential young athletes who can bring pride to the region in the future.
As a form of concrete support, the Asahan Education Agency will coordinate closely with the organizers to socialize this agenda to schools. This synergy is expected to increase active participation from schools to ensure the success of the student sports festival.
