Gia Lai Province has officially begun strategic preparations to welcome the 2nd Vietnam Tourism Day event, scheduled to take place in 2026. This initial step was marked by a press conference held at the FLC City Hotel Beach Quy Nhon, which is also part of the grand agenda for the National Tourism Year 2026.
The event, initiated by the Gia Lai Province People's Committee in collaboration with the Vietnam Tourism Association, aims to strengthen connectivity between destinations in the Central Highlands and the coastal regions of Vietnam. Under the theme "Vast forests touch the blue sea," the local government seeks to create economic growth momentum by increasing tourists' length of stay and spending value.
A total of 550 delegates from the tourism sector are scheduled to attend, including 150 international travel agents from strategic markets such as South Korea, Japan, China, India, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The presence of these industry players is expected to open up wider market access and introduce the unique culture and ecology of Gia Lai to the global stage.
The organizers have designated FLC Quy Nhon Beach & Golf Resort as the hub for activities, including business-to-business (B2B) networking sessions and a gala dinner. During these sessions, international delegates will not only engage in formal discussions but also participate in direct surveys of various tourist attractions, cultural products, and resort facilities in the region to develop more competitive tour packages.
General Manager of FLC Quy Nhon, Ricky Ho, expressed his team's readiness to support the regional tourism transformation. The main focus of future development is to combine MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) services, golf tourism, and nature exploration specifically designed to meet the preferences of tourists from various countries, thereby creating a sustainable economic impact for Gia Lai and its surroundings.
