Gia Lai Province is preparing to welcome hundreds of global tourism industry players at the 2nd Vietnam Tourism Day. The event, scheduled to take place from August 13 to 17, is projected to serve as a major catalyst in promoting the region's natural charm and culture on the international stage, while supporting the grand agenda of National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026.
A total of 550 delegates, consisting of 150 international travel companies from various countries including South Korea, Japan, China, and India, are confirmed to attend. They will join 200 domestic business players and media representatives to participate in a series of strategic activities, ranging from field surveys of various tourist attractions to B2B business forums specifically designed to establish long-term partnerships.
Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association, Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, emphasized that this initiative aims to boost the brand image of Gia Lai tourism. Through these activities, industry players are expected to craft more competitive and appealing tour packages, which ultimately can extend stay durations and increase foreign tourist spending in the region.
The private sector, including major developer groups such as FLC Group, is also supporting this endeavor by integrating tourism products that combine coastal beauty, mountains, and luxury resort facilities. The main focus of this collaboration is to create integrated products, such as MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and golf tourism, connecting Gia Lai with supporting destinations such as Quy Nhon.
The Gia Lai Provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism positively welcomed this move as a prestigious trade promotion forum. With active involvement from domestic international partners, the region is optimistic about expanding its market reach and strengthening its position as a sustainable tourism destination rich in local cultural values.
