Gia Lai Province will become the center of attention for the global travel industry in mid-August 2026. The region has been selected to host the 2nd Vietnam Tourism Day, a prestigious event aimed at strengthening business networks and elevating the image of local tourist destinations onto the global stage.
The event, bearing the main theme "Vast Forests Touch Blue Seas," is scheduled to take place from August 13 to 17, 2026. The organizing committee confirmed that 550 tourism companies will participate, 150 of which are international business players from various countries such as South Korea, Japan, China, India, Russia, and several Southeast Asian nations.
Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association, Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, emphasized that this initiative is designed as a crucial annual agenda for industry development. In addition to giving appreciation to business operators, the event is expected to spark strategic collaboration, enhance the competitiveness of Vietnam's tourism sector, and strengthen the reputation of the national tourism brand in international markets.
The organizer, FLC Group, stated that comprehensive preparations have been made, ranging from facility readiness and service quality to human resources. General Manager of FLC Quy Nhon, Ricky Ho, ensured that the available infrastructure is specifically designed to create an effective networking ecosystem for all participants.
The series of main activities will include a tourism product survey program at various leading destination spots in Gia Lai. Furthermore, the event will also host an International Tourism Forum focusing on crucial discussions regarding accelerating international tourist arrivals through the exploration of new markets, the development of innovative products, and the strengthening of cross-border strategic partnerships.
