The Governor of Central Kalimantan, Agustiar Sabran, emphasized that the Huma Betang Night (HBN) event has a strategic vision that goes beyond mere entertainment. The event, held at the Bundaran Besar area of Palangka Raya on Saturday (4/7/2026) as part of the 80th Bhayangkara Day celebrations, is projected as a concrete platform to preserve local cultural heritage while stimulating the grassroots economy.
In his speech, Agustiar stated that the provincial government is committed to providing ample space for businesses and creative economy actors to showcase their potential. Through the integration of preserving tradition and economic empowerment, HBN is expected to become an engine of economic growth, particularly in Palangka Raya, which serves as the starting point for the event.
Addressing the challenge of equitable development, the Governor stressed that this initiative will not be centered solely in the provincial capital. His administration plans to organize similar events sustainably and on a rotating basis across all regencies in Central Kalimantan. This step is taken as part of the government's responsibility to create an inclusive and fair development climate for all segments of society in the province.
