The Canggu tourism area, particularly the Batu Bolong Beach area, has now become a primary focus of security operations by the Badung Police. Given the high volume of domestic and international tourists active until late at night, the presence of police on the ground is crucial to ensuring that public order and security (kamtibmas) remain conducive.
In the early hours of Monday (6/7), the Turjawali Unit of the Badung Police Samapta Unit carried out enhanced routine activities through the Blue Light Patrol operation. Led directly by the Head of the Samapta Unit, Police Commissioner Assistant (AKP) Made Mangku Bunciana, police personnel patrolled several crowded centers and nightlife spots to anticipate potential street crime, hooliganism, and "3C" criminal offenses (theft with weight, violent theft, and motor vehicle theft).
Beyond surveillance, officers also engaged in dialogic communication with managers and security personnel on-site. This step was taken to build strong synergy between the police and the community in maintaining a safe and premium tourism ecosystem in Badung Regency.
AKP Made Mangku Bunciana emphasized that these patrol activities represent a continuous commitment by the Badung Police to provide protection and peace of mind to the public. The physical presence of police personnel in public areas is expected to be an effective preventive measure to deter security disturbances from an early stage.
The police also urged all community members, business owners, and tourists to remain vigilant. The public is encouraged to proactively report any suspicious activity to the authorities immediately to support smooth security operations in the jurisdiction of the Badung Police, which during the latest monitoring was declared safe with no prominent incidents reported.
