PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk is starting to shift its focus in toll road management from merely providing physical infrastructure to the concept of infraculture. This paradigm shift emphasizes a culture of safety and service quality to provide a more humanistic and safe driving experience for millions of road users every day.
President Director of Jasa Marga, Rivan A. Purwantono, explained that this step is the company's response to meeting the dynamic, rising expectations of the public. The company is committed to delivering a total experience on every kilometer of toll roads, not just as distribution routes, but as a smart and connected transportation ecosystem.
In an effort to support this transformation, Jasa Marga is relying on a series of technological innovations. These include strict monitoring of over-dimension and overload (ODOL) vehicles, utilizing the Jasamarga Tollroad Command Center (JMTC) as an operational control center, and developing the Travoy digital application which functions as a travel assistant for drivers.
Not only focusing on technical aspects, the company is also rejuvenating rest area facilities. Currently, rest areas along toll road sections are being developed into comfortable tourist destinations, so they are no longer just brief stopovers for road users.
As a way to refine its strategy, Jasa Marga held an expert discussion session titled "Up scaling Customer Experience (CX) Through Smart, Sustainable, and Connected Mobility Ecosystems" in Bekasi. The event featured prominent academics such as Prof. Mohammed Ali Berawi and Prof. Rhenald Kasali to dissect the potential for developing sustainable transportation ecosystems for national mobility.
