The annual exhibition Jateng Fair 2026 at the Center for Recreation and Development Promotion (PRPP) in Semarang officially closed with outstanding economic achievements. During its 10-day run from June 26 to July 5, 2026, the event successfully recorded economic transactions of up to IDR 5 billion.

President Director of PRPP Jateng, Shafigh Pahlevi Lontoh, stated that this achievement reflects an increase in public enthusiasm compared to the previous year. A total of 125,000 visitors crowded the event venue, surpassing the visitor count of last year's event, which reached 100,000 people.

Shafigh explained that the data was compiled through various indicators, ranging from ticket sales to the density of the parking area. However, he believes the actual number of visitors could be higher, considering many people arrived via online transportation or accessed free activities that were not recorded at the entrance gates.

Echoing this success, the Deputy Governor of Central Java, Taj Yasin Maimoen, expressed his appreciation for the exhibition's positive impact on the local economy. He emphasized that the Jateng Fair has successfully served as a catalyst for promoting MSME products, local culinary specialties, and regional cultural heritage.

Furthermore, Gus Yasin highlighted the importance of revitalizing the PRPP area to restore it as an icon of pride for Central Java. The Provincial Government aims for the development of this area to begin as early as 2027 in order to maximize tourism potential for the general public.
