Approaching the end of his tenure as the Commander of the 2nd Marine Amphibious Tank Battalion (Danyontankfib 2 Mar), Marine Lieutenant Colonel Hayat Tegar, M.Tr.Opsla, held a joint sports activity at the Sutedi Senaputra Marine Barracks, Karangpilang, Surabaya, on Friday (09/07/2026). The event was also attended by the Chairperson of Sub-branch B, Branch 5 of the Marine Corps Jalasenastri Joint Command Pasmar 2, Mrs. Diaz Hayat Tegar.
The agenda, which involved all soldiers and members of Jalasenastri, aimed not only to maintain physical fitness but also to serve as a momentum to strengthen bonds of fellowship within the unit's internal environment. The series of events then continued with a facility tour using BMP-3F and PT-76M armored vehicles (ranpur), designed to foster a sense of pride among the extended family towards the Yontankfib 2 Mar unit.
During the exit briefing session, Marine Lieutenant Colonel Hayat Tegar expressed his deep appreciation for the dedication, loyalty, and hard work shown by all soldiers and spouses during his leadership. He acknowledged that the experience of serving as commander in this unit provided valuable lessons in his career journey.
"Thank you for helping me and my wife in carrying out our duties. I feel honored to have been well-received by the extended family of the 2nd Marine Amphibious Tank Battalion," said Marine Lieutenant Colonel Hayat Tegar in front of the soldiers.
As a conclusion to his address, he left a message for all members to maintain unity and the spirit of service to the nation and state. He also motivated the wives of the soldiers, who are members of Jalasenastri, to continue providing moral support to their husbands and to uphold the dignity and good reputation of the Marine Corps in society.
