The North Barito Regency Government, through the Health Agency (Dinkes), has launched the Mobile Health Services (PKB) program to commemorate the regency's 76th anniversary. This initiative directly brings specialist doctors to sub-district areas, so residents in remote areas do not have to travel far to the city center.
The Head of the North Barito Health Agency, Simamoraturahman, stated that the activities, which began in West Lahei Sub-district on Wednesday (8/7/2026), received a warm welcome. One of the main focuses of the service is pregnancy check-ups for mothers, handled directly by obstetricians and gynecologists from Muara Teweh Regional General Hospital (RSUD).
Furthermore, the Health Agency will continue this program series in Gunung Timang Sub-district on Thursday (9/7/2026). This time, local residents will be provided with free health check-up services by internal medicine specialists. This step is a concrete effort by the local government to ensure equal access to quality medical services down to the sub-district level.
Simamoraturahman emphasized the importance of this opportunity for local residents. By bringing specialist doctors closer to the community, it is hoped that public awareness of the importance of routine health check-ups will increase, while also serving as proof of the North Barito Regency Government's commitment to improving public health standards at large.
