The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Bangkok continues to monitor the situation following a devastating fire that struck a nightclub in the Lat Phrao area of Bangkok, Thailand, on Sunday (12/7/2026). To date, authorities have confirmed that no Indonesian citizens (WNI) were victims of the tragedy.

The Director for the Protection of Indonesian Citizens at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu), Heni Hamidah, revealed that the tragic incident claimed at least 27 lives and injured 63 others. This official statement was issued after intensive coordination with local security authorities on Monday (13/7/2026).

The Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok has proactively verified data by contacting the police, referral hospitals, and local regional authorities. This step was taken to ensure the safety and whereabouts of Indonesian citizens in the vicinity of the incident.

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its commitment to continuously monitor the post-disaster response developments in Bangkok. The Indonesian diplomatic mission in Thailand also expressed its readiness to promptly provide legal and humanitarian assistance should any affected Indonesian citizens be identified in the future.
