A fatal traffic accident occurred in the Gunung Sindur area, Bogor Regency, on Wednesday (8/7) night. A Honda BeAT motorcyclist with the initials MS was declared dead at the scene after colliding with a truck.
Acting Head of the Law Enforcement Unit of the Bogor Police Traffic Corps, Ipda Ares Rahman, explained that the unfortunate incident took place at around 23:55 WIB. At that time, the victim MS was traveling from Parung towards Gunung Sindur before attempting to overtake the heavy vehicle in front of him.
According to police reports, the victim lost control of his vehicle and skidded. Under these circumstances, the victim fell and collided with the truck, which then continued driving. Due to severe impact on his abdomen and waist, MS's life could not be saved at the scene.
At the same time, the accident also involved another rider with the initials MARS, who was riding a Yamaha Aerox motorcycle from the opposite direction. MARS tried to avoid the collision by swerving to the left, but he still fell and sustained injuries to his leg.
Currently, the injured victim has been evacuated to the nearest hospital for further medical treatment. The Bogor Police Traffic Corps is still investigating the incident to determine the detailed chronology on the ground.
