A team from the Directorate General of Financial Balance (DJPK) of the Indonesian Ministry of Finance conducted an on-site review of the Purworejo Regency Regional Health Laboratory (Labkesda) on Thursday, July 9, 2026. The visit was accompanied by the Regional Financial, Revenue, and Asset Management Agency (BPKPAD) as well as the local Health Office to monitor and evaluate the utilization of the Physical Special Allocation Fund (DAK) in the health sector.
Purworejo's Labkesda became the focus of the evaluation as it has received Physical DAK aid allocations across two budget periods. The funds were strategically allocated for building construction and the procurement of proper laboratory infrastructure and facilities. The DJPK team carried out a comprehensive observation to ensure alignment between the allocated budget amount, achieved outcomes, and concrete benefits felt by the broader community.
The transformation of this healthcare facility is considered crucial for the region. Prior to receiving funding support from the central government, Purworejo Regency lacked a laboratory facility meeting the Ministry of Health's operational standards. Now, the presence of this representative building enables the local government to provide more optimal and standardized health services.
Currently, Purworejo Labkesda operates actively by offering various crucial services. These facilities cover clinical specimen testing for disease diagnosis, clean water quality testing, as well as specific services such as malaria cross-checking. Supported by competent professionals, the presence of this laboratory proves that the realization of Physical DAK can deliver concrete positive impacts on improving the quality of public health in the Purworejo area.
