The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology is considered a strategic solution to minimize leaks in the national trading system. This digitalization step is expected to boost operational efficiency while reducing the potential for fraud in the domestic supply chain.

Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Nezar Patria, emphasized the importance of implementing digital technology comprehensively from upstream to downstream sectors. According to him, a precise trade recording system will facilitate tracking of loss points so that business productivity can be maximized.

Nezar explained that blockchain offers advantages in the form of a transaction recording system that is transparent and secure from manipulation. Meanwhile, AI technology is responsible for analyzing data to project market demand and formulate goods distribution strategies to cut logistics costs that often swell.

On that occasion, the Head of the BRAIN IPB Research Center, Yandra Arkeman, introduced the concept of single gate export. This concept combines blockchain as an encrypted transaction database and AI as a market prediction tool. The Deputy Minister of Komdigi assessed this initiative as highly relevant for strengthening the national agro-industrial sector.

The government hopes that synergy with academic institutions can continue to be enhanced so that Indonesia can produce independent technological innovations. This collaboration is considered crucial to ensure that the development of cutting-edge technology can directly address challenges and support national strategic programs.
