The Bekasi City Government continues to accelerate infrastructure readiness ahead of the West Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) XV. As a form of commitment, officials from the West Java Provincial Government, comprising Commission V of the West Java Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), the West Java Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora), and leaders of the West Java National Sports Committee (KONI), conducted a work visit to Bekasi City on Wednesday (8/7/2026).

Deputy Mayor of Bekasi, Abdul Harris Bobihoe, who was also appointed as Chairman of the Organizing Committee (PB) for Porprov XV West Java for the Bekasi City region, warmly welcomed the delegation. During the coordination meeting, both parties reviewed technical readiness, ranging from evaluating venue construction progress and operational readiness to mapping out field obstacles to ensure this prestigious sporting event runs smoothly.

Abdul Harris revealed that the majority of sports facilities under construction or renovation are now approaching the final stage of completion. He emphasized that intensive coordination between the provincial and city governments is key to ensuring all construction targets are met before the event begins.

A crucial point of the inspection was confirming Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium as the official venue for the opening ceremony of Porprov XV. Consequently, facility and safety standards at the stadium are top priorities receiving special attention from the inspection team.

In addition to the coordination meeting, the delegation conducted direct field inspections of several strategic competition venues, such as the Bang Yan Sports Hall (GOR) and the International Skate Track. Through solid synergy, the Bekasi City Government is optimistic about successfully hosting Porprov XV and serving as a representative host for athletes across West Java.
