PT Bank DBS Indonesia recorded a positive performance in its wealth management business line during the first half of 2026. Through its DBS Treasures Private Client service pillar, this private bank successfully recorded a 13 percent year-on-year increase in total assets under management or Assets Under Management (AUM). This achievement was driven by customers' growing awareness of the importance of personally tailored investment solutions to face global market uncertainty.

This positive growth is not only visible from the accumulation of managed funds. The average AUM placed by each customer also increased by 15 percent, followed by a 34 percent surge in total revenue. This impressive performance was mainly supported by skyrocketing investment fee income (Investment Fee Income), which grew by up to 65 percent. As a result, the net profit after tax (Net Profit After Tax) for this segment was pushed up by 24 percent compared to the same period last year.

Consumer Banking Director of Bank DBS Indonesia, Melfrida Gultom, explained that wealth management has now shifted from merely chasing returns (yield) to a more comprehensive approach. Customers now need integrated solutions that include investment fund management with a close personal relationship model (high-touch), corporate wealth management, to succession planning or family inheritance. According to her, DBS Treasures Private Client is here to provide relevant financial solutions in every stage of the customer's life cycle.

To support this strategy, Bank DBS Indonesia invested in increasing human resource capacity by establishing the Wealth Management Institute. This internal training institution focuses on honing the capabilities of Relationship Managers (RMs) to be more reliable in reading global market dynamics, preparing retirement planning, designing family succession, and improving social interaction skills to meet the increasingly complex financial needs of high-net-worth customers.

In addition to strengthening internal services, the commitment to customer assistance was realized through the DBS Insights Forum 2026 event themed "A New Lens on a Multipolar World". President Director of Bank DBS Indonesia, Lim Chu Chong, stated that this exclusive forum was deliberately designed to assist corporate and individual customers in navigating their portfolios amid escalating geopolitical conflicts and global economic dynamics. Several national figures such as political observer Yunarto Wijaya and former diplomat Dino Patti Djalal were also featured as speakers to dissect the direction of future economic and political policies.

In facing market volatility in the second half of 2026, DBS's investment analysis unit (Chief Investment Office) recommends customers to strengthen asset diversification. Portfolios are suggested to include allocations in Asian stock markets excluding Japan, corporate bonds in developed countries, private assets, and hedging instruments such as gold. Precious metals are deemed to retain strong long-term investment appeal as a mitigation step against inflation risks and the ongoing global de-dollarization trend.
