Jakarta is once again in the football spotlight with the arrival of Portuguese football legend Luis Figo. The 2000 Ballon d'Or winner is scheduled to greet his fans in the capital during the HGI Football Party 2026 event series, taking place at fX Sudirman this weekend.

The event, initiated by Higgs Games Island (HGI), carries a mission to unite the professional sports ecosystem with recreational sports. The organizers want to emphasize that both fields can run side by side and reinforce each other in shaping an inclusive sports culture in society.

Figo's presence is not just a meet-and-greet event, but also a form of real support for the government's agenda in advancing the sports sector. Strategic collaboration has been established between HGI and the National Indonesian Community Sports Committee (KORMI) to encourage the development of digital platforms as a hub for mind-sports activities.

HGI representative, Ray, stated that his party is fully committed to becoming a strategic partner of the government in advancing mind sports. According to him, the proper use of technology can act as a catalyst for the growth of the sports community in Indonesia.

Echoing this sentiment, the General Chairman of KORMINAS, Hayono Isman, highly appreciated the initiative. He believes that the involvement of a figure of Luis Figo's caliber can serve as an inspiration for the younger generation to be more active in sports, while also supporting the regeneration of competitive athletes through innovative and measurable programs.
