The Vietnam Institute of Culture, Arts, Sports and Tourism recently organized a strategic training program specifically designed for leaders, managers, and civil servants. This initiative aims to update professional insights and skills in facing the increasingly complex challenges of international integration in the cultural sector.

Dr. Mai Thi Thuy Huong, Deputy Director of the Institute, emphasized that cultural diplomacy is not merely an exchange of values, but a crucial instrument in building national identity on the world map. Through mastering global policies and regulations, participants are expected to bring the noble values of national culture to the global market while selectively absorbing cultural strengths from other nations.

This training curriculum covers in-depth topics such as foreign cultural strategy, the implementation of UNESCO conventions, and the development of creative industries as a form of soft power. Participants were invited to analyze how intangible cultural heritage can be optimally managed to support sustainable foreign relations.

On the same occasion, Dr. Nguyen Van Tinh, former Director of the Department of International Cooperation, highlighted that cultural diplomacy reflects a nation's internal strength. He stressed the importance of synergy between the State as a regulator and the public as actors in promoting peace and friendship, which will ultimately enhance the country's bargaining power and prestige in the international arena.

This training is expected to create standardization in managing state affairs in the relevant sector, while ensuring that every step of cultural diplomacy aligns with the vision of sustainable development. With proper policy integration, culture is positioned as a strategic pillar in boosting the nation's competitiveness on the global stage.
