This State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) has officially continued its strategic partnership with the Riau High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati Riau) to oversee various legal aspects of the sustainable business transformation currently being carried out by the company.
This step was marked by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on handling legal issues in the field of Civil and State Administrative Law (Datun) at the PTPN IV Regional III Office in Pekanbaru on Monday (13/7). The signing was carried out directly by the Head of the Riau High Prosecutor's Office, I Dewa Gede Wirajana, accompanied by the Assistant for Civil and Administrative Law, Jerniaty, and the Region Head of PTPN IV Regional III, Bambang Budi Santoso.
The Head of the Riau High Prosecutor's Office, I Dewa Gede Wirajana, emphasized his institution's commitment to assisting PTPN IV Regional III through State Attorneys (JPN). This cooperation covers a wide scope, ranging from providing legal opinions, legal assistance, to efforts to recover and salvage state assets. This is expected to provide legal certainty for every corporate policy, especially amidst the increasingly dynamic challenges of the plantation industry.
Meanwhile, the Region Head of PTPN IV Regional III, Bambang Budi Santoso, appreciated the continuous support from the Riau High Prosecutor's Office. According to Bambang, transparency and compliance with regulations are the main pillars in ensuring the success of national strategic programs, including assignments in the food security and energy sectors currently carried out by the sub-holding PTPN IV PalmCo.
The positive synergy between the two institutions has actually been closely established since 2021. One concrete proof of the success of this partnership is the legal assistance in recovering pre-financing funds together with the Siak Regency Government worth IDR 33 billion, of which the recovery progress has now reached 76 percent and is targeted for completion in stages by 2028.
