PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk., better known as Mitratel (MTEL), is currently finalizing strategic steps to expand its business scope. The company is no longer merely relying on organic growth, but has begun moving aggressively to transform into a next-generation telecommunication tower infrastructure provider or next-gen towerco.
President Director of Mitratel, Theodorus Ardi Hartoko, revealed that his party has prepared a capital expenditure (capex) allocation of Rp2.9 trillion for the 2026 period. The funds are focused on supporting the sustainability of the company's expansion amidst increasingly dynamic industry competition.
In this year's strategic plan, the issuer with the stock code MTEL targets the addition of 2,500 new tenants on its managed towers. In addition to focusing on physical towers, the company is also committed to strengthening the connectivity ecosystem by targeting the addition of 9,000 points of billable fiber optic. This step is being taken as part of the company's efforts to maximize new revenue potential beyond traditional tower services.
