Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) is taking strategic steps to accelerate the ecosystem of Financial Sector Technology Innovation, Digital Financial Assets, and Crypto Assets (IAKD). This move comes as the massive digitization trend of financial services in the country demands more visionary regulatory readiness.

To date, OJK data shows significant industry growth. Eight Alternative Credit Rating Providers (PKA) are currently operating, with a total of 130.78 million consumer hits. In addition, 17 Financial Services Aggregation Providers (PAJK) have served more than 18.29 million active users.

The digital financial assets and crypto sector is equally progressive. OJK has granted operational licenses to 26 traders, two exchanges, as well as two clearing and custody institutions for crypto assets. Currently, the investor population in this sector has reached 22.4 million individuals, reflecting high public enthusiasm.

Chief Executive of IAKD Supervision at OJK, Adi Budiarso, revealed that his team is drafting the 2026–2031 IAKD Roadmap. This roadmap is prepared as a compass for industry development to remain adaptive to rapid technological innovation and the real needs of the national economy.

In an official statement, Adi emphasized that the development of this ecosystem rests on four core principles: sovereignty, integrity, adaptability, and affordability. This framework is expected to strengthen national competitiveness while deepening a safe financial market for the public.

Moving forward, OJK is committed to continuously refining the regulatory framework, strengthening corporate governance, and enhancing consumer protection. Collaboration with all stakeholders remains the key to ensuring Indonesia's digital financial industry grows sustainably and delivers real benefits to the domestic economy.
