The National Mandate Party (PAN) has welcomed the display of warmth between President-elect Prabowo Subianto and PDI Perjuangan Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri. The warm moment during the Pancasila Day ceremony at Gedung Pancasila, Jakarta, is seen as a positive signal for national political stability.

Head of the PAN Faction in the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Saleh Daulay, stated that harmony among political elites serves as an important example for the public. According to him, despite differences in views, well-maintained political communication among national leaders is key to finding wise solutions to various state issues.

"PAN greatly appreciates political figures continuing to show a spirit of togetherness. Given that the challenges Indonesia faces today are highly complex, resolving issues cannot be done sectorally alone, but requires the collaboration of all elements of the nation," Saleh said in a statement on Tuesday (2/6/2026).

Saleh added that the unity of political forces in Indonesia is strategic for strengthening the country's bargaining position amid global geopolitical dynamics. With maintained solidity, Indonesia is viewed as a strong country with robust integration within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

Previously, the public highlighted the warm moment when Megawati Soekarnoputri invited Prabowo Subianto to walk together hand in hand following the Pancasila Day commemoration ceremony. This camaraderie was also witnessed by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming as well as several other national figures, including Jusuf Kalla and Ma'ruf Amin.
