The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Gunung Mas, Central Kalimantan, continues to solidify preparations to face the maturity assessment of the Implementation of the Government Internal Control System (SPIP). The evaluation process, to be conducted by the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), is scheduled for September 2026.
The Vice Regent of Gunung Mas, Efrensia LP Umbing, stated that this assessment is a crucial benchmark for the local government in measuring the level of maturity of internal control, which covers risk management aspects, control environment, and inter-institutional information and communication systems.
As a strategic step, the Gunung Mas Regency Government has organized an intensive assistance agenda involving the Regional Secretary, the Inspectorate, and all heads of regional apparatuses. The main focus of this assistance is to ensure that each agency comprehensively understands the assessment indicators, while also being able to prepare valid supporting documents in accordance with the standards set by BPKP.
Efrensia emphasized that success in this assessment is not a sectoral burden for the Inspectorate alone, but a collective responsibility of all regional apparatuses. She hopes this momentum can strengthen a work culture that is effective, accountable, and transparent, in order to create higher quality governance in the future.
With strengthened coordination at every institutional level, the local government is optimistic about improving the SPIP maturity score. This will also serve as a key foundation for Gunung Mas Regency in supporting the acceleration of sustainable regional development.
