The Banjarbaru City Government has taken a progressive step in improving the health sector by establishing a strategic partnership with RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo (RSCM) Jakarta. The agreement was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) conducted directly by the Mayor of Banjarbaru, Erna Lisa Halaby, alongside the President Director of RSCM, Supriyanto, at the Banjarbaru Regional Hospital (RSD) Hall on Friday (July 3, 2026).

Mayor Erna Lisa Halaby emphasized that this collaboration is a tangible effort by the local government to transform healthcare services. The main focus of this cooperation includes enhancing the competence of medical staff, developing flagship services, strengthening hospital governance, and integrating telemedicine technology to facilitate public access.

According to Lisa, RSD Idaman Banjarbaru, which serves as the primary referral facility for the local community, must continuously adapt to technological advancements and modern service standards. With mentoring from a central hospital like RSCM, it is expected that a significant transfer of knowledge and technology will occur, drastically improving the quality of clinical services.

Echoing these sentiments, the President Director of RSCM, Supriyanto, expressed his readiness to share experience in hospital management and clinical governance. He remains optimistic that this synergy will accelerate service quality improvements at RSD Idaman, ensuring that the people of Banjarbaru receive high-quality medical treatment locally without needing to be referred outside the region.

This strategic move is expected to act as a catalyst for hospital professionalism in Banjarbaru, enabling it to deliver faster, safer, and fully patient-centered care in South Kalimantan in the future.
