A total of 77 board members of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) of Bojonegoro Regency for the 2026–2029 service period were officially inaugurated in a ceremony at the Aston Bojonegoro Hotel Ballroom, Saturday (11/7/2026). The procession, which appointed dr. Pramono Apriawan Wijayanto as chairperson, was also attended by the Forkopimda (Regional Leadership Coordination Forum) lineup, regional leaders, and health practitioners from various hospitals in the local area.
In his address, the Regent of Bojonegoro, Setyo Wahono, emphasized that the health sector is a primary pillar of regional development that requires sustainable synergy. He highlighted increasingly dynamic modern health challenges, ranging from the impacts of climate change to the prevalence of non-communicable diseases, which require a proactive response from medical personnel.
The Bojonegoro Regency Government declared its full commitment to supporting all health facilities, both public and private. The Regent encouraged every hospital to be capable of developing excellent services in accordance with their competencies to strengthen the competitiveness of medical services at the local level, while simultaneously improving public health status through promotive and preventive efforts.
On the other hand, the representative of East Java IDI, dr. Syaifuddin Zuhri, reminded of the importance of compliance with professional standards and the completeness of medical records as a form of legal protection amidst growing public awareness of their rights. He emphasized that strong government support must be balanced with the high dedication of doctors in providing services based on empathy and professionalism.
The elected chairman of IDI Bojonegoro, dr. Pramono Apriawan Wijayanto, expressed his readiness to lead the organization in a more inclusive direction. He outlined three main pillars for the new management, namely improving the quality of competence, strengthening effective communication with patients, and administrative discipline. The inauguration event concluded with a national scientific seminar discussing sexual health as a national health investment.
