PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Dumai Refinery received a working visit from the Board of Directors of PT Pertamina Petrochemical Trading (Pertachem) on Wednesday (1/7). The agenda, packaged in the form of a Management Walkthrough (MWT), aims to strengthen business synergy between Pertamina's subsidiaries, particularly in the development of the national petrochemical sector.
During the visit, the Pertachem delegation was welcomed directly by the Acting Executive General Manager of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Refinery Unit Dumai, Isnandhi Dwi Saputra. The main focus of the discussion was on optimizing the marketing of Green Coke, a solid carbon residue product of high economic value that is the refinery's flagship commodity.
The Dumai Refinery is recorded as Pertamina's only processing unit in Indonesia capable of producing Green Coke. This low-sulfur product not only serves as an environmentally friendly industrial fuel, but is also a crucial component in the manufacture of graphite anodes for electric vehicle (EV) batteries, including for global manufacturing needs such as Tesla.
President Director of Pertachem, Aribawa, appreciated the collaboration that has been established and expressed his company's readiness to support the marketing of flagship products from the Dumai Refinery. According to him, the continuous increase in market demand alongside the massive growth of the electric vehicle industry represents a strategic opportunity for both entities to continue growing.
Through this strengthened partnership, the Dumai Refinery is optimistic about continuing to make a real contribution to the downstreaming of the national industry. This step aims not only to strengthen the company's competitiveness in the global market, but also as a manifestation of Pertamina's commitment to the principles of sustainability and Indonesia's economic resilience.
