The Bulukumba Regency Government, through the Communication, Information, and Encryption Agency (Diskominfo), has established a strategic collaboration with Statistics Indonesia (BPS) to conduct sectoral statistics training. The activity, which focuses on understanding statistical business processes, was held in the Lemo-Lemo Room, Pinisi Building, on Thursday (9/7/2026).

As the institution acting as the Regional Data Custodian, Diskominfo facilitated this meeting to strengthen the competencies of data managers and producers within Regional Government Agencies (OPD). The main focus of the training covers the entire statistical workflow, ranging from needs identification, planning, collection, and processing, to systematic analysis and dissemination of data.

Head of the Statistics Division at Bulukumba Diskominfo, Andi Alamsyah, emphasized that the standardization of business processes is the key to generating accurate, consistent, and credible data. According to him, a thorough understanding of the statistical workflow serves as the foundational basis for personnel in fulfilling their functions as reliable data producers in their respective agencies.

"The implementation of standardized business process stages is crucial for the local government. We will continue to synergize with BPS to ensure that every OPD is capable of producing valid sectoral data in accordance with national standards," Andi Alamsyah stated on the occasion.

Through this continuous training, the Bulukumba Regency Government aims to improve the quality of regional statistical operations. It is hoped that the availability of qualified data will facilitate the government in planning, implementing, and evaluating development that is more targeted for the wider community.
