BPJS Kesehatan has officially initiated the Layanan Ujung Negeri (Lanuri) program, implemented simultaneously in 558 regencies and cities across Indonesia. This strategic move aims to dismantle geographic barriers and technological infrastructure limitations that have previously made it difficult for people in underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions to access the National Health Insurance (JKN) program.
President Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Prihati Pujowaskito, explained that the program involves 126 BPJS Kesehatan Branch Offices as driving forces. A total of 179 points will be served through mobile outreach services using the BPJS Keliling fleet, while the other 379 points will be facilitated through the Virtual Office for Information and Administration Services (Viola).
The presence of Lanuri enables people in remote areas to gain direct access to administrative matters, membership information, and complaints handling regarding healthcare services. This initiative is expected to bring social justice in healthcare, particularly for participants of the Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI) segment who need service guarantees equal to urban residents.
The launch of this program also marks the conclusion of the board of directors' 100-day work program agenda, which recorded a performance achievement of 91.53 percent. In addition to Lanuri, BPJS Kesehatan has also integrated the P-Care system to support the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program and implemented a smart claim system to curb potential fraud and budget inefficiencies in the healthcare sector.
