The Indonesian Community Sports Committee (KORMI) of Prabumulih City officially enters a new chapter after Puspita Sugiartie, S.Tr.Kep., was elected by acclamation to lead the organization for the next four years. This decision was made during the KORMI City Conference (Muskot) held at the Prabumulih City Manpower Office Hall on Thursday (7/9/2026).
The election process was witnessed directly by officials from the Prabumulih City Government, including the Mayor's Expert Staff for Economy, Finance, and Development, Abdullah Abadi, as well as a representative of KORMI South Sumatra Province, Eko Agus Sugianto. The presence of leaders from local parent sports organizations (Inorga) also marked full support for this new leadership.
In a written remark read by Abdullah Abadi, Mayor of Prabumulih H. Arlan expressed high appreciation for the organization of the Muskot. The City Government hopes that the new management under Puspita Sugiartie can serve as a catalyst for more structured recreational sports development, allowing health and fitness values to permeate all levels of society.
Furthermore, the government emphasized that community sports must be integrated as part of a lifestyle to build healthy citizens with strong character. Synergy between the local government and KORMI is considered a key factor in facilitating the community's sports needs so that they can expand further and remain sustainable in the future.
Echoing these sentiments, Secretary of KORMI South Sumatra, Eko Agus Sugianto, offered his congratulations alongside a challenge to Puspita to embrace all existing Inorga. He hopes that the upcoming leadership team will be able to optimize the potential of recreational sports to create an inclusive and progressive sports ecosystem in Prabumulih City.
