The 2026 Hajj National Working Meeting (Rakernas) officially highlighted two strategic agendas that are top priorities for the government in improving the quality of the Hajj pilgrimage services. The main focus of the discussion was directed toward pilgrim health management and the effectiveness of services in the Mina area.
The organizers emphasized the importance of mitigating health risks for pilgrims, especially given the dominance of elderly pilgrims in Indonesia's Hajj quota. Strengthening preventive medical procedures and emergency responses was deeply discussed to ensure that potential health issues are minimized during the operational period of the pilgrimage.
In addition to health aspects, this national meeting also critically evaluated service mechanisms in Mina. Given the space constraints and the high density of pilgrim movement, the government is striving to find logistical and technical solutions to ensure the comfort of pilgrims while guaranteeing that all service rights comply with the standards set in the cooperation contracts.
