Responding to the impact of the fire hitting the Jatiwaringin Final Disposal Site (TPA), UPTD Cisauk Health Center swiftly deployed a medical team to the location on Monday (7/6/2026). This step was taken as a prompt response to provide health protection for local residents as well as personnel struggling on the ground.
The presence of the health post in the landfill area focuses on providing basic medical check-ups, medical care for those exposed to smoke, and preventive education. Residents engaging in activities around the location are asked to be more vigilant about potential respiratory disorders triggered by deteriorating air quality.
On that occasion, health personnel from Cisauk Health Center urged the public to always wear masks and limit outdoor activities. Adequate fluid intake is also an important concern to minimize the negative effects of air pollution caused by the fire smoke.
The health center also emphasized the importance of early medical response. Residents are expected to immediately visit the post or the nearest health facility if they experience symptoms such as coughing, shortness of breath, or eye irritation.
