Kutai Kartanegara (Kukar) Regency now has a new healthcare facility following the inauguration of eMKA Hospital. As the first private hospital in the region, the presence of eMKA Hospital marks a new chapter in efforts to expand access to healthcare services and strengthen the medical referral system for local residents.
Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Kukar, Sunggono, emphasized that the regional government positively welcomes the presence of eMKA Hospital. He stressed that the existence of this private healthcare facility should not be viewed as a competitor to government hospitals, but rather as a strategic partner that complements them in delivering excellent service to the public.
The facilities provided by eMKA Hospital are comprehensive, featuring a capacity of 128 beds. Available services include a 24-hour emergency room, specialist outpatient clinics, operating rooms, and intensive care facilities. Supported by modern radiology technology and a laboratory operated by professional medical personnel, it is expected to meet the current medical needs of the people of Kukar.
In his speech, Sunggono reminded everyone of the importance of public trust built through transparent, safe, and ethical service. According to him, the primary orientation of every healthcare institution must always focus on patient safety and comfort as the highest priority.
Furthermore, the regional government hopes that this type of collaboration model can continue to grow. Investment in crucial sectors such as health and education is believed to be the main key to accelerating the improvement of the quality of life for Kutai Kartanegara residents in the future.
