Enlivening the 499th Anniversary of Jakarta, PT Integrasi Transit Jakarta (ITJ) presented a creative initiative titled "Jakarta Punya Cerita". This program aims to bring fresh vibrant colors to public spaces in transit areas, transforming them from mere transfer hubs into dynamic social gathering points for the capital's residents.
The series of events, taking place from June 26 to 27, 2026, was centered in three strategic locations: JPM Lebak Bulus, JPM Dukuh Atas, and Martha Christina Tiahahu Literacy Park. Over the two days, the public was treated to various art performances and live music accessible completely free of charge.
Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Management at ITJ, Zulfadli Ardiansyah, explained that this activity is a tangible manifestation of the company's contribution to fostering social interaction. According to him, transit areas have great potential to be developed as inclusive, sustainable public spaces capable of representing Jakarta as a comfortable global city for all its citizens.
"We want the public to experience something different in transit areas. Through 'Jakarta Punya Cerita', we hope these public spaces will not merely serve as mobility points, but as spaces for interaction and enjoying art, making public transportation feel more meaningful in residents' daily lives," Zulfadli stated.
Support from local musicians and art communities enlivened the atmosphere. On the first day, the Street Music Institute (Institut Musik Jalanan) and singer Rani Klees were the main performers at different transit hubs. Meanwhile, on the second day, the stage at Martha Christina Tiahahu Literacy Park was highlighted by performances from the KAWI angklung group, along with stage acts from musicians such as Axelo, Josh Flo, and Vanessa Zee.
Moving forward, ITJ is committed to continuing to revitalize transit integration areas through various creative activations. This step is taken to ensure that available transportation facilities are not only efficient in mobility function, but also provide added value in terms of comfort and a dynamic lifestyle for the people of Jakarta.
