FIFA, through a strategic partnership with Global Citizen, has officially confirmed the lineup of international musicians who will grace the main stage during the first-half intermission, or halftime show, of the 2026 World Cup final. This historic performance is scheduled to take place at the New York New Jersey Stadium, United States, on Monday, July 20, 2026.
A lineup of big names in the global music industry, namely Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira, and the South Korean sensation BTS, has been confirmed to perform to entertain football fans around the globe. This appearance marks the first moment in World Cup final history to feature a grand-scale music performance during the match intermission.
In addition to these pop stars, the excitement of the 11-minute stage will be further completed by the presence of Nigerian singer Burna Boy and renowned orchestra conductor Gustavo Dudamel. A special collaboration will also be presented by the PS 22 Chorus choir, performing alongside the top-tier band Coldplay.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized that this entertainment initiative is not just an ordinary show stage for billions of eyes. The event also serves as a campaign vehicle for a social mission through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund program, which aims to make a positive impact on global education alongside the world's biggest sporting celebration.
