The Bisnis-27 Index again showed a positive trend, closing Monday's (13/7/2026) trading in the green zone. The index, a collaboration with daily Bisnis Indonesia, was recorded gaining 2.11% or 8.59 points, settling at the 415.68 position. This movement also extends the index's impressive record, which has posted gains in eight out of nine trading days throughout July 2026.
The banking sector was the main driver behind the index's surge this time. Large-cap stocks such as BBCA, BBNI, BBRI, and BMRI collectively posted significant gains. Overall, as many as 21 index constituents managed to close higher, while the rest were divided between three corrected stocks and three others that remained stagnant. By the close of the session, the total market capitalization for the Bisnis-27 index had surpassed Rp3,129 trillion with transaction volume reaching 4.32 billion shares.
Although short-term performance shows optimism, Equity Analyst at PT Indo Premier Sekuritas, David Kurniawan, reminded market participants to remain cautious. Investors' focus is currently directed toward the release of US inflation data, which will serve as a reference for global interest rate policies. In addition, the heating geopolitical conditions between the US and Iran and the weakening of the rupiah exchange rate to Rp18,109 per US dollar are pressuring factors overshadowing domestic market sentiment in the short term.
On the other hand, the positive movement of Bisnis-27 is in line with the performance of the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI/IHSG) which also strengthened by 1.92% to the 6,037 level. Although on a year-to-date (YtD) basis the index still records a correction of 24.86% due to sluggish market conditions since the beginning of the year, the recovery momentum in July provides a positive signal for market participants amid the continuously evolving global economic uncertainty.
