The local government in the Solok Raya region welcomed the inauguration of the new sports facility, Solok Arena Mini Soccer, located in Solok City. The inauguration of this facility was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended directly by the Mayor of Solok Ramadhani Kirana Putra, the Regent of Solok Dr. (HC) Jon Firman Pandu, SH., and the Vice Regent of Solok H. Candra, SHI., on Saturday (1/8/2026).
The presence of this modern mini soccer field is expected to become a center of positive activities for the wider community, especially the younger generation. The Regent of Solok, Jon Firman Pandu, expressed high appreciation for the construction of this sports infrastructure. According to him, the existence of facilities that maintain feasibility standards is crucial in scouting and nurturing promising young athletes from an early age.
In addition to being a sports facility, this arena is projected as a space for social interaction to strengthen ties among residents and foster the values of sportsmanship. The local government hopes that the community will maintain and utilize this facility as best as possible to provide a long-term impact on public fitness.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Solok, Ramadhani Kirana Putra, added that the development of this sports facility also has the potential to spark creative economic activity around the location. Various tournaments to be held in the future are believed to be able to attract visitors from outside the region and open up new business opportunities for local MSMEs.
