A brilliant achievement has been carved by the sports and education sector of Rokan Hulu Regency. Azkia Zafeera Arfa, a talented student from SD Islam Riadhussholihin, successfully won first place in the girls' pencak silat category at the National Student Sports Olympiad (O2SN) of Riau Province. This victory also secures a ticket for Azkia to represent Riau Province at the national level, which will be held in Jakarta.

The daughter of Ade Satria has been studying the martial art of pencak silat since she was in the second grade of elementary school. For Azkia, pencak silat is not just a medium to accumulate achievements, but also an important forum for shaping her character and preserving ancestral cultural heritage. Diligence and discipline in training were the main keys that led her to the top of the provincial podium.

Before winning the title at the Riau O2SN, Azkia had recorded a brilliant achievement at the 2026 SMI Regional Championship (Kejurda) with a gold medal in the sparring and art categories. This success was due to the intensive guidance of the coaching duo Yusuf Hidayat and July Anggraini, as well as full support from the school under the leadership of Principal Novri Nadli Fajri, Lc.

Rokan Hulu is not only sending Azkia to Jakarta. Two other student athletes, namely Khaidir AjiSaka Sitepu (Elementary School Boys category) and Jelly Ramadhani (Junior High School Girls category), also successfully qualified to represent Riau Province. Currently, the three young athletes are undergoing intensive training camps to mature their physical, technical, and tactical match skills, as well as mental readiness before competing against the best representatives from all over Indonesia.
